Born in Spain in the year 1491, Ignatius was the youngest of twelve children. His parents wanted him to become a priest but at the age of thirteen he went to Madrid to become a Page to Don Juan. At the age of twenty-five he was wounded in battle. While healing from his injury, back home at the Loyola Castle, he read books on the Life of Christ and the lives of the saints. He realized he needed to make changes in his life and worked hard at doing that. As time went on he and his new friends founded the Society of Jesus. He worked day and night resigning himself to God's Will. Has Nihil Obstat and Imprimatur
